Even for people at a healthy weight, a poor diet is associated with major health risks that can cause illness and even death. While individuals train hard to meet their specific needs, if nutrition is not an important component of their day to day life, goals will be more difficult to achieve. Regardless of your background or goals, identifying what a good nutrition program is a huge part of success. Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. If combined with physical activity, nutrition can help you to obtain and maintain a healthy weight, significantly reduce the risk of struggling with chronic diseases (such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer), and improve your overall health.
The internet is a great resource for fitness and nutrition. However, if you dig through enough blogs and websites, you’ll be exposed to anything and everything in the world of nutrition. Cookie diets, fasting, only eating meat, restricting to only greens, carb loading, caloric restriction, etc. Many people have experienced success with some of these different lifestyles and diets. However, some of these diets may not be right for your specific goals or even hold the nutritional benefits. If you talk to certain folks, they swear by them. They will tell you about all the nutritional benefits of their diet and how everyone should adopt them but they’re doing this without knowing the details relating to your lifestyle.
It’s actually quite simple for us… We don’t recommend any specific “diet” or style of eating. For us, it’s very important that we help people develop and identify what works best for them individually. Using this method, we really focus on getting to know each individual personally in order to better fit their needs. We don’t all fit into a “box” and having a flexible and individualized approach to nutrition is a major part of experiencing success. Team Soul Nutrition helps you set realistic and sustainable goals that set you up for success. A guiding principle of ours is helping people reach their goals regardless of their fitness, nutrition, time constraints or athletic background. Our fully individualized program is meant to focus on various types of individuals, ranging from full-time athletes to stay at home moms. Just like our program in the gym, it is for everyone.
Team Soul Nutrition is a remote nutrition counseling program based out of Miami that aims towards helping you become the best version of yourself while taking into account your lifestyle needs. We work with you to create an individualized program that is specific to your goals. Upon signing up for our program you will fill out a questionnaire so that we may obtain information to better individualize your program. We analyze all of the information provided (ex. age, height, activity level, fitness regimen, stress, etc.) and assign you to a coach – a real human – that is best suited to you and your needs. Your coach will then create your individualized nutrition plan.
Team Soul’s nutrition counseling program will provide a set of rules and “how to’s” to alleviate any concerns and answer any initial questions. There are two main types of nutrients, macronutrients, and micronutrients. The three main categories of macronutrients include carbohydrate, protein, and fat. In your plan, we will provide you with a set number of carbs, protein, and fat you are allowed intake daily. What you eat to hit your target macros is up to you – you eat what you want! Every week your coach will check in with you and adjust your program to make sure you are on track to achieving your goals. All communication regarding nutrition counseling will take place via a central web app titled Seismic. Seismic allows you to communicate directly with your coach, log your weight, upload your food diaries, measurements, milestones, photos, and more. Team Soul’s Nutrition Program also includes nutritional advice and ongoing 24/7 coaching.
